What this build is

Triwind Windmill is an Easy Minecraft village house with 236 steps in 7 chapters, a 34 × 21 footprint and 22 layers of height. A long timber mill raised on stone piers, with an oxidized copper roof, a wraparound deck and wooden sails at one end.

At about 1 hours of building it suits a first survival base or a quick creative session.

The block list, before you start

The bulk of it is Andesite (404), Spruce Log (348) and Spruce Planks (245). In all it comes to 1,907 blocks in 33 types, which is about 54 stacks and 2 chests of storage.

Plan ahead for Waxed Oxidized Cut Copper Slab and Waxed Oxidized Cut Copper Stairs: copper needs time to age before you wax it.

How the blueprint is laid out

The Triwind Windmill blueprint has 22 layers on a 34 × 21 grid. Layer 1 is free to view, and every square shows the block and the step that places it. The front door faces south. Count from the same corner on every layer, using the numbers along the edge of the grid.

Step by step, chapter by chapter

The 236 steps run through the site and terrain, the foundation, the walls, the floors, the roof, the interior and decor and landscaping. Steps 1–97 are free, ending with walls, which is a natural place to stop. The roof starts at step 138.

Where to put it

Choose a flat area of at least 34 × 21 blocks with room to walk around it. Turn it so the south-facing door meets your path. Want something else? Compare more village house blueprints, or browse farm ideas.

Common mistakes

Waxed copper stops aging, so let Oxidized Cut Copper Slab reach the right shade before you wax it. Count the roof from the corner you used on layer 1; starting from the other side leaves the ridge off-centre. If you turn the build, keep the original directions in mind: the step hints name walls by compass direction.
