What this build is
Ledger Grain Market is a Medium Minecraft village house with 128 steps in 8 chapters, a 20 × 19 footprint and 17 layers of height. A spruce market house on a stone plaza, with a striped red awning over the stall, an outside staircase and a dark shingle roof.
At about 1 hours of building it suits a survival world once you have a steady supply of wood and stone.
The block list, before you start
The bulk of it is Stone Bricks (273), Spruce Planks (202) and Stripped Spruce Log (179). In all it comes to 1,482 blocks in 40 types, which is about 55 stacks and 3 chests of storage.
Every block here can be gathered or crafted in a normal survival world.
How the blueprint is laid out
The Ledger Grain Market blueprint has 17 layers on a 20 × 19 grid. Layer 1 is free to view, and every square shows the block and the step that places it. The front door faces north. Count from the same corner on every layer, using the numbers along the edge of the grid.
Step by step, chapter by chapter
The 128 steps run through the site and terrain, the foundation, the walls, the floors, the roof, the interior and decor and landscaping. Steps 1–46 are free, ending with walls (1 of 2), which is a natural place to stop. The roof starts at step 76.
Where to put it
Choose a flat area of at least 20 × 19 blocks with room to walk around it. Turn it so the north-facing door meets your path. Want something else? Compare more village house blueprints, or browse house ideas.
Common mistakes
Count the roof from the corner you used on layer 1; starting from the other side leaves the ridge off-centre. If you turn the build, keep the original directions in mind: the step hints name walls by compass direction.
