Minecraft Modern House Blueprints

These modern house blueprints have flat roofs, big windows and clean lines. Each shows every layer on a grid, one square per block, with the size and the full block list. The first floor is free to view, and every house comes with numbered steps too.

How to use a modern house blueprint

Modern houses look simple, which makes every mistake easy to see. A wall that’s one block off breaks the clean line, so lay out layer 1 carefully and count from a corner using the grid coordinates. Big glass walls come next: place the frame of concrete or quartz first, then fill the glass, layer by layer.

Flat roofs are built as one wide layer, often with a lip of slabs around the edge. Check the block list for white and gray concrete or quartz before you start, since these take the most gathering of any modern build. Leave the lip one block proud of the wall so the roofline reads as a shadow line from below, and put your lighting in the ceiling layer rather than the roof layer, or you’ll see the lamps from outside.

Two things trip people up on modern builds. First, glass walls show the interior, so the inside needs a floor and a ceiling before you call it done; a bare stone interior behind clean glass looks worse than no windows. Second, cantilevered upper floors need support that’s hidden in the layer below, so place the supporting pillars before you add the overhang, not after.
