How to build a castle without losing track
Castle ideas are the biggest builds in the atlas, and the hardest part is keeping track, not the building itself. Each guide splits the castle into chapters (walls, towers, keep, interior), so every chapter ends at a natural place to stop and you still see real progress. Your place is saved after every step, so coming back a week later is one tap.
Before you start, the block list tells you how much stone, cobblestone and wood the whole castle needs, in stacks and chests. Gather the wall stone first; it’s usually most of the total. Then work from the footings up with the blueprint open: one layer at a time on a grid, one square per block, with the gate marked so towers line up on both sides.
Pick by size and build time. Smaller castles are Easy or Medium builds you can finish over a weekend, and the largest are Hard builds you come back to for weeks. Every card shows both, so you know what you’re taking on before you open the guide. Whichever you pick, the chapters run in the same order, walls first, so your first evening always ends with something standing.
How long does a castle build take?
Every castle shows its build time on the card, from a few hours for the smaller ones to many evenings for the largest. The guide is split into chapters, so you can stop after any chapter and pick up from the same step later.
Can I build a castle in survival mode?
Yes. You place every block yourself, in survival or creative. Gather one chapter’s blocks at a time from the block list, which flags the hard-to-find ones, and start with the wall stone.
Do I need a lot of stone for the walls?
The walls are usually most of the castle’s material, and the block list gives the exact count before you begin. If it looks like a lot, gather the wall stone first and build as you go.
