What this build is
Azalea Treehouse is a Medium Minecraft house with 438 steps in 7 chapters, a 36 × 33 footprint and 46 layers of height. A spruce treehouse in three levels around a giant azalea tree, linked by ladders and a spiral stair.
At about 5 hours of building it suits a survival world once you have a steady supply of wood and stone.
The block list, before you start
The bulk of it is Flowering Azalea Leaves (946), Spruce Planks (684) and Moss Block (641). In all it comes to 5,465 blocks in 44 types, which is about 116 stacks and 5 chests of storage.
Every block here can be gathered or crafted in a normal survival world.
How the blueprint is laid out
The Azalea Treehouse blueprint has 46 layers on a 36 × 33 grid. Layer 1 is free to view, and every square shows the block and the step that places it. The front door faces south. Count from the same corner on every layer, using the numbers along the edge of the grid.
Step by step, chapter by chapter
The 438 steps run through the site and terrain, the foundation, the walls, the floors, the roof, the interior and decor and landscaping. Steps 1–156 are free, ending with floors, which is a natural place to stop. The roof starts at step 157.
Where to put it
Choose a flat area of at least 36 × 33 blocks with room to walk around it. Turn it so the south-facing door meets your path. Want something else? Compare more house blueprints, or browse house ideas.
Common mistakes
Count the roof from the corner you used on layer 1; starting from the other side leaves the ridge off-centre. If you turn the build, keep the original directions in mind: the step hints name walls by compass direction.
